{"id":3383,"date":"2014-02-16T15:26:25","date_gmt":"2014-02-16T14:26:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cial.it\/?post_type=english_post&#038;p=3383"},"modified":"2014-12-18T15:28:46","modified_gmt":"2014-12-18T14:28:46","slug":"italy-2013-best-aluminium-packaging-collection-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cial.it\/en\/italy-2013-best-aluminium-packaging-collection-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"ITALY 2013: BEST ALUMINIUM PACKAGING COLLECTION PERFORMANCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After looking at the results of aluminium packaging recycling and waste collection in Italy, CIAL (Italian Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Aluminium Packaging) drafted a special performance chart, with a ranking list of the best performing Municipalities and companies operating in the sector of aluminium waste separation.<\/p>\n<p>CIAL used this list to award the so-called &#8220;<b>Premio Resa<\/b>&#8221; (Return Award) &#8211; essentially a financial incentive aimed at encouraging intensive waste separation models that can valorise the full potential of individual collection basins all over Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this award, euro 408.000 \u00a0will be paid out for 2013 performance &#8211; <b>in addition to the funds<\/b> that are already included in the <b>Anci-Conai Framework Agreement.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>66% was paid to Municipalities and collectors in northern Italy, 27% to subjects in southern Italy and 7% to Municipalities in central Italy.<\/p>\n<p>In all, 64 subjects were awarded <b>CIAL&#8217;s 2013 &#8220;Premio Resa&#8221;.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Listed below are some of the ones from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">northern Italy<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Amsa a2a, which deals with waste collection and separation in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milan<\/span><\/b> and 9 of the surrounding Municipalities.<\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Aspem, which is active in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Varese.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Alto Vicentino Ambiente, which serves 28 Municipalities in the province of Vicenza, including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Schio.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Etra, which serves 22 Municipalities in the province of Vicenza and 39 Municipalities in the province of Padua (among them, <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bassano del Grappa<\/span> <\/b>is the largest).<\/li>\n<li>Contarina, which deals with waste collection and separation in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Treviso<\/span><\/b> and 33 Municipalities in that province.<\/li>\n<li>Demap Srl, which serves no fewer than 228 municipalities in the province of Turin, (<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Moncalieri<\/span><\/b> is the largest among them).<\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Snua, which serves <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pordenone<\/span><\/b> and 31 of the Municipalities in that province.<\/li>\n<li>Isontina Ambiente, which serves the entire province of <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Gorizia<\/span><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Iren Emilia, which is active in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Reggio Emilia<\/span><\/b> and in 37 Municipalities in that province.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">In <\/span><b style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Central &#8211; Southern Italy<\/span><\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"> the prize was awarded to:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Del Prete, which serves 4 Municipalities in Latium, including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Cisterna di Latina<\/span><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Gea Srl, which deals with waste in 7 Municipalities in the regions of Abruzzi and Latium, including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ceccano (Frosinone)<\/span><\/b> and <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pescasseroli (L\u2019Aquila).<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Cosvega, in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Francavilla al Mare<\/span><\/b>, in the province of Chieti.<\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Ecosansperate, which is active in Sardinia and serves 124 Municipalities including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Quarto Sant\u2019Elena<\/span><\/b> and <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Carbonia.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Gesam, which manages waste in 7 Municipalities in the province of Sassari, the largest of which is <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Alghero<\/span><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Asm, in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Molfetta<\/span><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Ecotecnica, which is active in <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lecce<\/span><\/b> and in 15 Municipalities in that province.<\/li>\n<li>Ambiente Srl, which deals with waste collection and separation in 9 Municipalities in the province of Naples, including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Arzano<\/span><\/b> and <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ottaviano<\/span><\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Penisolaverde, in the region of Campania, which manages waste collection and separation in 2 Municipalities in the province of Naples, including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sorrento.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Societ\u00e0 Sarco, in Sicily, which is active in 15 Municipalities in the province of Catania, including <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Giarre.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In absolute terms, considering the total amounts collected and delivered to CIAL in 2013, the regions of <b>Lombardy<\/b>, <b>Emilia Romagna<\/b>, <b>Veneto<\/b> and <b>Piedmont<\/b> are the four highest ranking among the top ten, followed by the regions of <b>Sardinia<\/b>, <b>Campania<\/b>, <b>Umbria<\/b>, <b>Latium<\/b>, <b>Tuscany<\/b> and <b>Sicily<\/b>, in that order.<\/p>\n<p>This is an important result that proves how valid the management system underlying the Anci-Conai Framework Agreement is, as it guarantees the growth and the consolidation of waste collection and treatment services, with results and performance that are improving and are in line with European standards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After looking at the results of aluminium packaging recycling and waste collection in Italy, CIAL (Italian Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Aluminium Packaging) drafted a special performance chart, with a ranking list of the best performing Municipalities and companies operating in the sector of aluminium waste separation.
