{"id":3627,"date":"2015-03-17T11:07:03","date_gmt":"2015-03-17T10:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cial.it\/?post_type=english_post&#038;p=3627"},"modified":"2015-03-20T14:20:20","modified_gmt":"2015-03-20T13:20:20","slug":"italy-2014-best-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cial.it\/en\/italy-2014-best-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"ITALY 2014: THE BEST ALUMINIUM WASTE COLLECTION PERFORMANCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>After analysing the 2014 results of aluminium packaging recycling and waste collection in Italy, CIAL (Italian Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Aluminium) drafted a special performance chart, listing the Municipalities and companies operating in the sector of aluminium waste collection that performed best.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Based on this list&#8217;s ranking, CIAL awarded the so-called &#8220;Premio Resa&#8221; [Performance Award] &#8211; essentially a financial incentive aimed at encouraging intensive waste separation models that can enhance the full potential of individual catchment areas all over Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thanks to this award, \u20ac270,000 will be paid out for 2014 performance &#8211; in addition to the funds that are already included in the Anci-Conai framework agreement, 65% of which were paid to Municipalities and collectors in northern Italy, 27% to subjects in southern Italy and 8% to Municipalities in central Italy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In all, 38 subjects were awarded CIAL&#8217;s 2014 \u201cPremio Resa\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listed below are some of the winners from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">northern Italy<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Amsa a2a, which deals with waste collection and separation in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milan<\/span> and 10 surrounding Municipalities.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aspem, which is active in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Varese<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Asher, serving the Municipality of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Rho (Milan)<\/span> and its 50,000 inhabitants.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gelsia Ambiente, which organises waste collection in 10 Municipalities in the province of Monza-Brianza, the largest of which is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lissone.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Contarina, which deals with waste collection and separation in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Treviso<\/span> and 33 Municipalities in that province.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Unione Montana Agordina, which brings together 16 Municipalities in the province of Belluno, first and foremost <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Agordo.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Central &#8211; Southern Italy<\/span>, the prize was awarded to:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Valfreddana Recuperi, a company that serves 20 Municipalities in the province of Lucca, as well as the city of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Massa.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Municipality of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lenola, in the province of Viterbo.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Centro Riciclo Colleferro, which serves 22 Municipalities, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Frascati.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ecosansperate, which is active in Sardinia and serves 120 Municipalities, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Quarto Sant\u2019Elena<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Selargius<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Gesam, which manages waste in 9 Municipalities in the province of Sassari, the largest of which is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Alghero<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Asm, in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Molfetta<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ecotecnica, which is active in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lecce <\/span>and in 17 Municipalities in that province.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ambiente SpA, which deals with waste collection and separation in 23 Municipalities in the province of Naples, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ercolano and Pomigliano d\u2019Arco<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Penisolaverde, in the region of Campania, which manages waste collection and separation in 3 Municipalities in the province of Naples, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sorrento<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Municipality of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Portici<\/span> and the local company, Leucopetra.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Municipality of<\/strong> <b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Triggiano, in the province of Bari. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sarco, in Sicily, which is active in 23 Municipalities in the provinces of Catania and Messina, including <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milazzo<\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In absolute terms, considering the total amounts collected and delivered to CIAL in 2014, the regions of Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia Romagna and Piedmont are the four highest ranking among the top ten, followed by the regions of Sardinia, Tuscany, Campania, Lazio, Umbria and Sicily, in that order.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is an important result that proves how valid the management system underlying the Anci-Conai Framework Agreement is, as it guarantees the growth and the consolidation of waste collection and treatment services, with results and performance that are improving and are in line with European standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To view the full list of winners of the CIAL Premio Resa, go to<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/?p=270\">www.cial.it\/premioresa<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After analysing the 2014 results of aluminium packaging recycling and waste collection in Italy, CIAL (Italian Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Aluminium) drafted a special performance chart, listing the Municipalities and companies operating in the sector of aluminium waste collection that performed best.
